Details
Swimming is a fairly solitary persuit...but opportunities for friendship before and after a workout abound!
We'll be meeting at Natomas High School Pool located near Truxel Rd. and I-80. We'll meet at 11:00am and mingle for about 15 minutes, then we'll swim. After the swim those who wish may join us for coffee and doughnuts.
There is a locker room, and you must bring your own lock. There are outdoor showers.
Natomas Pool was completed about three years ago, so it is still shiny & new. It is a state of the art pool and uses a chlorine/saline chemical system which is very mild for the swimmer. It was truly designed for the lap swimmer, and people who swim here claim it's their favorite pool. The facility is so nice, and a very well kept secret. Sorry to all my lap swimming buddies, but the word is out!
FYI: Lap swim at Natomas Pool is from 11am-1pm Sat. and Sun. They are also open on the weekdays 5:30-7:30pm, call ahead and check if there is a swim meet 566-3644, realizing no answer may mean guards are out on deck, so call back. Cost $5/swim or a punch pass (that never expires) is $45/20 swims.
If anyone is interested in scheduling additional meetups for evening lap swim, please contact the organizer. We would love to put them on the calendar.
