Swimming is a fairly solitary persuit...but opportunities for friendship between sets, and before or after a workout abound!

We'll meet at Natomas High School Pool located near Truxel Rd. and I-80. Meetup starts at 11:00am and we'll mingle for about 15 minutes, then we'll swim. After the swim those who wish may join us a post workout snack. Feel free to invite guests to this and all our events!

There is a locker room, and you must bring your own lock. There are outdoor showers.

FYI: Lap swim at Natomas Pool is from 11am-1pm Sat. and Sun. They are also open on the weekdays 5:30-7:30pm, call ahead and check if there is a swim meet 566-3644, realizing no answer may mean guards are out on deck, so call back. You can also call the Sac City Aquatics Dept. during business hours for more info 808-2306. Cost $3/swim or a punch pass (that never expires) is $35/20 swims.

If anyone is interested in scheduling additional meetups for evening lap swim, please contact the organizer. We would love to put them on the calendar.

It was nice to meet Ming and Rosalie who joined us through Sacramento Linkup. Alan invited his friend Gary, and it was good to see them both there. Lifeguards Katie and Desiree were on duty. We shared our cookies with them. They were grateful.

We had some people drop in from our craiglist and linkup postings, which was great. They were shy at first. But things went really well. The cookies were a big hit, but the coffee plan needs work. Next time, I'll order a coffee box ahead of time from Starbucks. I'm learning as I go. Everyone was really nice, and although some folks were less than generous in assessing their own swimming abilities, everyone was capable in the water.
